Spring Time Travel Itch
I don't know about you - but I am getting "the itch" - the itch to TRAVEL, that is!
Some people call it stir crazy or maybe as extreme as winter house arrest - but I call it the itch. We have been blessed to get so many days this late winter with upper 50 to 60 degree weather here in Maryland. It's a shock to the system when we get a frigid day or almost 3 feet of the white stuff as it was this year in Frederick. Maybe we even curse the weatherperson when they even mention the "S" word (SNOW). My point being, I don't blame anyone who wants to get a head start on their Vitamin D intake.
We all know about the trifecta of airports we are so lucky to be a short drive away from - Dulles, BWI, and Reagan. All international and all great in their own right.
BUT.................Can I get a shout out to Hagerstown Regional Airport??!
No one mentions them...ever! I know I am going to be taking advantage of their cheap flights to FL this month for the first time. Allegiant Airlines has flights to Orlando/Sanford and St Pete/Clearwater FL. Sun Air has commuter flights to Dulles - but they also somewhat recently added flights to Pittsburgh. All affordable and did I mention free parking?! Check it out: http://www.flyhagerstown.com/flights/
It's just another reason why I love living in Frederick. My husband gets his peaceful, suburban-like oasis - and I get access to FOUR airports that will take me where ever - whenever should I choose to mix it up!
