The weather is finally warming up and we can’t wait to get out and appreciate spring! If you are like us, you are ready to go for a run, attend a picnic or just take the kids to a playground to wear them out. Lucky for us, Frederick County offers a variety of locations to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. In Downtown Frederick, Baker Park and Carroll Creek are perfect for walks after a meal in one of our amazing downtown restaurants. There are plenty of events at these locations throughout the spring and summer. A couple of examples include Thursday evening Alive @ Five live music events May through October, and movie nights every 3rd Friday, June through October, on the Creek!

In addition, Frederick County Parks and Rec has several organized events that are always fun.  Bring your pooch to Bark in the Park, or get your kids active and enter them in the Mighty Tikes/Kids Triathlon. Interested in history? The World War II weekend is for you!
